Einstein is brilliant, but there is not enough credit given to his wife who was also quite brilliant. I think he was amazing for his time but as time moves on some holes are being poked in his theories.

Which doesn't reflect poorly on him. Rather it means that generations of scientists have grown up on his teachings and are trying to expand on them. He's the modern version of Isaac Newton.

What holes? If anything, time is showing how correct he was.

While quantum theory and Einstein's theories don't mesh, yet, String Theory offers a bridge between them.

No one has successfully challenged either of his great theories.
