Damn. shite like that just kills my shoulders in old age. I've backed off of the weight significantly, but I'm still not doing those kinds of reps. I hit 16 reps at 225 on Monday, but that's as heavy as I'm going now. My Captain has a pair of titanium shoulders from the heavy lifting. I don't want titanium shoulders.

What's the protocol for when you get matched with two hot roommates/ best friends on Tinder within 30 minutes of each other?

I like the way you think... Should I message them both individually or go after one and then bring the other in later?

I had 40 on each side so 125 total. the workout said 50-55 percent but i did 60 percent of my weight that i do at 4-6 reps

how are y'all tracking the miles?
Posted on 3/6/14 at 10:35 am to heartbreakTiger
Nike+ app, one guy has 42 miles run already, I'm at 21 and I've only taken 1 day off

I've started a new lift program on flat bench
Set 1: 45 + 25 on each side, 10 reps
Set 2: 45 + 35 on each side, 10 reps
Set 3: 45 + 45 + 10 on each side, 8 reps
Set 4: 45 + 25 on each side, 10 reps
Set 5: 45 + 10 + 5 on each side, 10 reps
Although depending on how I feel I may do 8 reps of each and lower the weight
Set 1: 45 + 25 on each side, 10 reps
Set 2: 45 + 35 on each side, 10 reps
Set 3: 45 + 45 + 10 on each side, 8 reps
Set 4: 45 + 25 on each side, 10 reps
Set 5: 45 + 10 + 5 on each side, 10 reps
Although depending on how I feel I may do 8 reps of each and lower the weight

damn that dude is bustin it or he is in his car driving around with the app on

Busting it, turns out he is a distance runner that competes in marathons

Posted on 3/6/14 at 11:27 am to tduecen
And it started on March 1st?
Posted on 3/6/14 at 11:35 am to AubieALUMdvm
Yup, I thought 4-5 miles a day would be enough and boy I'm wrong

I could live with this. The workout that I quit a few weeks ago was:
Set 1: 225x5
Set 2: 245x4
Set 3: 265x3
Set 4: 285x2
Set 5: 315 to failure (usually 3-4)
Set 6: 205 to failure (usually 12-15)
Although it didn't "feel" like it was hurting my shoulders as much as my higher rep workout, I know that it can't be good. My latest was:
Set 1: 225x16 (was going for 20, but I'm just not there yet)
Set 2: 185x20
Set 3: 135x30
Set 4: Pause-presses at 155 to failure (13 in my case).

Screw trying to keep up with that guy. Don't get me wrong, endurance is good, but I like having a little size and strength too. Every time I decide that I'm going to try to "cut up", my strength starts dropping, I freak out about it, then I'm back on the calories to get it back.

Agreed. We were slammed this week and the last test just so happened to be the hardest one.
Headed to the bar tonight.
