What are you basing this on?

You know he's one of the most accomplished and recognized voice actors today right?
I liked the movie pretty well. It's up there with something like Avengers 2, Jurassic World, Mission Impossible 4-5, or the new Star Treks. They're not groundbreakingly spectacular movies or anything, but they're fun and serviceable.
SciFi/superhero movies that get better reviews from me are like Ex Machina, Mad Max, Edge of Tomorrow, or Guardians of the Galaxy. I like it when people take chances with obscure plots.
JJ Abrams does a good job of taking a stale idea, making it pretty palatable to the masses and then turning it into an above average movie. And honestly when I see a movie like Star Wars, that's what I want.
Plot holes on Star Wars don't piss me off. Plot holes in something like Interstellar (which I love sans 15 minutes of) piss me off.

Kylo Ren is really Ben Solo

You're right, Ren isn't to the level of Sith Lord yet. But he had plenty of force training under Luke and certainly had to have at least some training in the dark side. All to say that whatever training he has, should be miles ahead of whatever Raye could possibly know.
Unless the next movie decides to tell us that she was force trained and had her memory wiped like someone else suggested, I'm calling bullshite.

enjoyed the movie, but like someone previously posted, I hope there is an explanation as to why Luke is just hanging out on an island rather than helping out

He was in exile after failing (Ben solo going dark to become Kylo Ren), much like Yoda and Obi-Wan did after the fall of the Jedi in Episode 3 when Anakin turned to Darth Vader.

Good movie. Abrams has some balls to kill off everybody's favorite character in the franchise. It wasn't at all instrumental to the plot (yet).
That being said, the whole Jedi self-exile thing throughout the whole series has to be the dumbest plot device ever conceived. The galaxy's most powerful warriors simply step away and let evil run amok when they fail one time? frick that noise.

Needed moar Luke IMO. I liked the movie but it started sllooow. I need another movie in before I decide if I like it or not. I was pleasantly surprised by the actors but the plot at times was too cheesy and cliche.
