Minor fify. Depends on your source. Just picking nits because I'm part of the other 5%.

Also...

Obama. Is. Mixed.

Burns me up that he continues to not promote that fact.

I see people on this board say this often. Are there any specific bills/policies you're referring to?

Yup. Pisses my wife and I off and many other interracial couples as well.

If and when I am blessed with children, they WILL respect and take pride in all facets of their heritage, especially those represented by their mother and I.

Crying shame because it would have been an excellent time to highlight the true "melting pot," nature of this country manifesting itself in achieving a dream.

The true impact of the ACA won't be felt for years. If it fails, so goes Obama's legacy. Legislation such as this typically starts out rocky, though, and gets tweaked over time until it becomes at the very least workable.

Regardless, I haven't seen many studies showing that the ACA has had such a deleterious effect on the economy as to warrant calling Obama a disastrous president. That's hyperbolic.

I knew he wasn't going to make much of a difference. Alternative (McCain, Romney) would have been same too.

Thats a good approach. I have to admit i really struggle with interracial marriage because of the kid factor. I think unless the parents take an approach similar to yours, those kids can be a little fricked up and could be subject to descrimination more than normal.

Im old school I admit. I dont want my daughters marrying outside their race. Im honest about it, but the reason above is why I feel that way. I think I would change my mind if she came home with the right young man who;

1. Valued her as a person
2. Responsible provider
3. Good values himself
4. Good family

Etc, etc. All the same stuff you'd want for your kid if they got married. I also am honest enough to be willing to talk about it openly with the young man to express my concerns and my own limitations as part of that.

What? Half black is God's photoshop. The kids won't be discriminated against in this day and age unless they are going to school with racists. And you think a white woman shouldn't marry a black man because of the kids? If they don't have kids do you still struggle with it? Or do you struggle with it regardless and you think protecting the kids is some weird PC stance?

I don't believe you. I think you're worried more about what your peers will think, not the peers of your hypothetical grand kids.

He and Carter are the worst presidents since Jackson. He's much more interested in the celebrity than the management. He's an awful manager.

I'm confused as to how he pandered. I mean I didn't vote for him and wouldn't have voted for Hillary either, but growing up, I'm sure he identified with black culture, as he probably wouldn't have been let in to every country club or Alabama Greek organization he could afford dues for. I mean he seemed to back away from a lot of racial statements in his campaign. In his senate campaign and "community organizer days" he didn't shy from it, but by the time the campaign was coming he didn't need to pander at all. The liberal media played up the black angle for him. They were chomping at the bit to play the race card on the Republicans. He didn't have to do anything. 92% of black people vote Democrat anyway. I think he raised it to 94%. Sure. More got out to vote, but that's not why he won. It was the youth.

No, it was guilt ridden white pussies trying to prove that they weren't racists.
