We all know that some police officers abuse their authority, but encounters such as the one in this video should make the news so that balance is provided. This officer should get an award for not shooting her.

"I'm a free inhabitant!"

Well, that was disturbing (just her voice ) so here's a message from Chris Rock for balance.

I had no idea that there are so many of them that police officers have to be trained on how to deal with them.

It's a movement of stupid people who want to claim they are above the law and think they are hiding behind the Constitution.

I was dicussing how his new job was going, and I mentioned I saw a youtube video on... and he said "Sovereign Citizens, right. I have been through training on how to handle them already".

Where does shite like this come from? Don't those idiots know that the Constitution cancelled the Articles of Confederation?

quote:

After considerable debate and alteration, the Articles of Confederation were adopted by the Continental Congress on November 15, 1777. This document served as the United States' first constitution, and was in force from March 1, 1781, until 1789 when the present day Constitution went into effect.

I saw a survey of law enforcement personnel last year. They apparently believe these yahoos are the most dangerous threat they face.

Good timing, BTW. I'm watching an episode of Law and Order that deals with a militia. Topical for an episode that's 19 years old.

It honestly makes me feel like I'm above average as a human. I know I'll be alright.

It takes just a few seconds on Google to see that the Articles of Confederation have been defunct for over 200 years. The people claiming to be "sovereign citizens" seem to think they're part of the Constitution. We need to bring Civics courses back into the schools.

Some suggested reading for you.

The mental gymnastics needed to maintain such fantasy are impressive. Don't think any amount of civics classes will straighten that out anytime soon.

It just bothers me that people like that are out there breeding. We need birth licenses.

Thanks, good reading.

quote:

In the United States, the sovereign citizen movement is closely related to the Posse Comitatus and freemen on the land movements, and there is substantial overlap between these movements and militia movements.

That explains so much.

You know what the fellow said – in Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace – and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock. - Harry Lime

Bless his heart, he really did. That "sovereign citizen" seemed like a cross between Fran Drescher and that bitch professor that got fired at Mizzou.
