Goodness I hate when celebrities die because I have to see it everywhere.

I don't even get sad -- this is what happens. People die. I don't feel bad when I read the headline, I feel agitated.

Because it will be on every corner of the internet. Hope the other celebrities survive for a while.

Most of the time it agitates me too, but when people like Bowie or Freddie Mercury or similar people die, those are legends. Pioneers. I'll feel the same way when someone like Elton John or someone similar dies. I'm sure that I would have felt that way if I was alive when Buddy Holly died.

I was definitely agitated when somelike like Amy Winehouse dominated the headlines.

Just look around the internet and look at all the positive comments from artists across all genres on Bowie's death. His music wasn't for everyone, but he touched a LOT of lives in the artistic world, and by all accounts he was a good human being.

He also kept his illness under wraps and made one last album to say goodbye, in true Bowie fashion. So I think the unexpectedness of his death has ramped up the reactions.

Bowie was great. Saw him in Atlanta in the mid 70s. Dude just walked out on a dark stage in a black tux into the spotlight and belted out his songs with no one else lit on the stage for the first part of the show.
Great artist

I expect not many Aggies are into David Bowie.

She was one of the most talented singers in her generation. I'm sure most would disagree with her lifestyle, but you can't deny she was a great artist.

I won't deny that she had talent. She wasn't even on the same plane as Bowie, Mercury, etc. though. Didn't warrant as much attention.

Probably my favorite:

Station to Station

But almost all of his catalog is great.

Truly among the greats:
