Attention would-be burglars - these are locked inside a gun safe, which is anchored inside a concrete vault. Not all my guns are so hard to reach, though.

My granny carried one of those in her purse. It had belonged to her husband, my great grandfather. He tried to kill a man with it by shaking his right hand and holding him while he shot him, but he wasn't a lefty and couldn't squeeze the grip safety hard enough to fire, so he got rid of it. He was the jp in town, so, no, he didn't go to jail for it.
When she moved to Florida in the late 50s, though, she got asked for ID when she wrote a check at Sears and started digging in her purse. She took out stuff to find it, including: the pistol, a straight razor, brass knuckles, and a sap. Granny was serious about personal defense.

The last ban said you couldn't have the heat guards, so they made them with a shorter barrel and called them the Tech-10. Same damn gun

That's what I keep on the top shelf for the wife to use in case of emergency.
Took the plug out. First two are #8, then 00, 8, 00. I put a nylon ammo holder on the stock, too, and repeated the #8/00 pattern. I figure if you've fired the first two and there's still a problem, it's time to step it up.
Funny story - buddy of mine lives in NOLA, in the Bywater. He's got an AK and his wife, at the time, was a real pacifist/anti-gun type (years of living in NOLA has produced the opposite effect). One day she came home and saw him sitting in the living room loading about five banana clips. She said, "why in the hell are you doing that, honey?" He replied, "OJ verdict is coming out in a the next hour!" and went back to loading.
