Obama also had much higher approval ratings then Bush during their second terms. So that would make sense, and is pretty much expected.

obama had higher approval ratings because the media never attacked him while they sought to drive down Bush's approval ratings.
i also think the obama approval ratings are kind of phony because if his policies were popular than Hillary would have won the election easily. Democrats have loss a lot of elections across the country since Obama became president, and they have the least power now than since the 1920s.
Another reason Bush's approval ratings were lower were due to conservative opposition to some of his liberal policies like amnesty and out of control spending. Obama never had any opposition from his own voters.
