Why anyone would have something wrong with Star Wars is beyond me. Or is it apps on phones? I'm sure there are no apps on any of your phones.

I was mostly joking. I did enjoy the first 3 films (the old ones, you can't make 3 new films and label them 1-3. That's wrongheaded and dumb) but I know some people who get WAY too into that shite. My nephew is one of those people. I love him, he's my kin, but the kid is a massive nerd and only wants to talk about Star Wars. He doesn't fit in well with the rest of the family, unfortunately. I feel very bad for him.

You do realize it's based loosely on books?
The first three movies were based on books IV-VI?
Therefore the "prequels", were based on books I-III.
They are making the "sequels", based on books VII-IX.
The "first" three movies were always called Star Wars IV (A New Hope), Star Wars V (The Empire Strikes Back), and Star Wars VI (Return of the Jedi).

Not exactly.
Episode IV was released in 1977 under the title Star Wars. It wasn't until the release of Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980) that the first movie was re-introduced with the New Hope subtitle.
