5. John Mayer (I know he's popular, but he's one of the best blues guitarists on the planet right now, and a lot of people just think all he's capable of is singing songs chicks like)
6. I'll agree with TOOL as well. They are their own worst enemy when it comes to publicity though.

Good call. They had hits but listening to their stuff now you appreciate just how talented they were.
For that matter, these famous and lesser known 80s bands could be considered underrated imho...

These are underrated
