If you're early, you're on time
If you're on time, you're late
If you're late, you're fired

I'm always 15 mins prior to 15 mins prior.

10-15 minuets early.
My daddy taught me that it is rude to be late.

The biggest fights my wife and I have are about being on time. I like to be at least 15 mins early. If she is with me, she does good to walk out of the house at the time we're supposed to be somewhere. Which leads to me being a real dick to her in the car on the way.
I was brought up on the premise that you are telling a person their time isn't as valuable as yours if you are late to a preplanned event. Plus, it's just embarrassing as hell to walk in 20 mins late. If we are 10 mins late for church service on Sundays, I will just turn the car around and go home. I am done being the focus of the entire congregation for a couple minutes as we try to find a seat during a sermon.
