I'd rather have them instead of the rodents they eat.

if you have 80 rat snakes living in your house I would be more concerned that your neighborhood would support such a number. 80 rat snakes may translate into 800 to 8,000 rats living nearby. Generally animal populations are correlated to food supplies and thinking about that many rodents is way more creepy.

Came across this guy on a hike. Wife and dog nearly stepped on him til I grabbed them. didn't want to risk getting any closer than this for the pic.

And why do they keep eggs out on the counter? That's like snake bait.

Eggs belong in the fridge. Bet ya a snake ain't slithering his arse up in my Fridgidaire.

Snakes outside the house, not so big a deal. Snakes INSIDE the house? Oh, Hell NO.

I bet there are trouser snakes inside houses all over this country. Are you implying nobody in your domicile wears trousers?

I don't mind snakes at all as long as I can see them/know where they are

Unfortunately, that's not very many of them

My granddad lived in the country near Boligee, AL. He woke up one morning to sit on the toilet, and there was a snake curled up in there. He wasn't afraid of snakes in the yard, but he freaked the eff out over this one, we were there and thought he was dying in the bathroom. We also found several snake skins under his bathroom counter when cleaning out his house after he died

Not me. I hate spiders. I read an article years ago that said almost every house in the US has brown recluses living in it. I don't think the same can be said for poisonous snakes.

We had about a 5' rat snake in our office a few weeks back. It was coiled around a door closer on an inner office doorway. Now people are freaked out and look up when going thru doors.

I'd post a pic if I had more skills.
