My dad worked at a hospital in Birmingham when I didn't have school or was off I would occasionally go meet my dad and we would go to lunch, when I was 17 I went during the Summer and was walking through lobby and a crackhead tripping balls came in with a loaded 9mm waving it wildly. I turned and just about the same time he started unloading (he was standing about 25 ft away) 3rd bullet hit me in the left shoulder, 4th whizzed right past my head, I fell in pain of course and an off duty officer visiting his mother tackled him from behind and wrestled the gun away before he got the next shot off

I feel the same way wmr does

Was that the worst pain of your life?

Actually no but I think I was sort of running off adrenaline and stayed the hell on the ground

The pain after I had calmed down was excruciating that was probably the worst

I also have a ghost story that was pretty intense

I'm sure it won't be on the level of getting shot by a crackhead.

You're a bastard.

It was survival instinct. You haven't lived until you go through a minute or two where you're pretty certain you're about to die.

Your story is so crazy, I can't even imagine that. I can imagine the fear, but damn. I definitely expected to feel a bullet go through my body, but it didn't happen.

To this day, I'm a guy who has a deadbolt on the bedroom door, even though I live in a very safe town. I think it affects your perceptions forever.

True story. When I was in fifth grade, my cousin shot me with a BB gun. It went an inch into my brain next to my temple. At first, I just thought it bounced off. It didn't even look like it went in, but it did. I felt no pain what so ever. Like a dumbass I didn't say anything to my parents, I was nervous. The next day I didn't feel good so I stayed home from school and my mom saw a spot on the side of my head. She asked me what happened and I told her. 30 mins later I was at the hospital and had a x-ray taken. Before the results came back, my dad said if the BB wasn't in there I was gonna get the belt. I can honestly say, as a fifth grader I was more scared about my dad beating my arse than the BB being in my head. Probly the scariest moment I have ever had. Since the BB was in there, I missed out on an arse whipping. By the way, I survived with no permanent damage or so they say lol

Me, my girlfriend, my friend, and his girlfriend where hanging out at our house. They were smoking but I wasnt and my friends girl goes into the bathroom for a while. Then all of a sudden there were like 3 large bangs and then she opens the door and she has this weird daze look. I didnt think much of it then but I remember looking at it. She takes 3 steps and then you can hear her say "I'm so fricking hi-" and then she just crumbles. Now on the floor, my buddy had his weed and shite in a box, when she fell, I thought she hit the side of her head on the box. So when she was lying on the ground and not moving, I was thinking she was dead. My friend, understandably, was really freaking out. He rolled her over, and her eyes started to roll in her head and then they just shut. After like 15 seconds of this, she started to move and she was ok. But those 30 seconds were scary as shite

That's got to be awful. When you said bangs I thought you were gonna say she killed herself. Can't think of anything worse than that

True story.

I was a sophomore in HS. I woke up late one night and walked into the living room. In my boxers btw. There I see a man standing over my mother while she was sleeping. See had passed out from steaks and margaritas. I looked at him. He looked at me. Within less than 2 seconds he was gone. Hopped a fence, abd took off up the street. He grabbed her purse on his way out. He disposed it a few blocks away in a wild berry patch. I did the whole ordeal with computer sketches, interviews with detectives about possible suspects, and answering questions at school from friends. That computer sketch software is terrible fwiw. For months i always looked over my shoulder. Close to 5 years later they finally caught the guy. Through evidence he was tied to numerous rape and home invasion cases.

Sorry had to put kids to bed

Disclaimer: We still live in the same house but it has been prayed over and not nearly as much activity and we have been proactively looking for a new house for the past couple years

We had just moved in the house a couple weeks before this (it has now been renovated, pipes replaced etc) and this house is old like 1920's was when it was built. My wife was outside in the backyard with my daughter who was about 6 months at the time standing at the back of our fence talking to the neighbor and at the time we had just moved in all the old piping was original and the faucets etc were really old and big heavy knobs, had to give some elbow grease to turn kitchen sink faucet on bathroom sink faucet on etc, so I was taking a shower and all of a sudden the lights kinda flicker and the pressure instantly changes like from hot to freezing so I assume my wife had come in and turned on the sink or something to wash her hands. I yell for her but the temp on water doesn't change, so I step out and hear the sink in the kitchen running full blast and I look out the window (window beside the toilet looking into our backyard) and see her standing at the fence with Elizabeth in her arms and my face probably got white as a sheet because my heart dropped into my stomach I think. I walked into the kitchen and the sink was running full blast and everyone of the cabinet doors were wide fricking open...

I thought I was gonna shite standing right there

It wasn't until a few yrs ago the paranormal show "Paranormal State" came a few houses down and did an investigation of one of my neighbors houses in Fultondale (3 houses down from me) and collected a shitton of EVPs and in research discovered that the area used to be a railroad station and track and about 30 people died in the building of it and there was a medical outpost also at the station

The crazy thing is that talking to her afterwards, she said that the last thing she remembered was walking into the bathroom. She doesn't remember what happened in the bathroom, her walking out, or fainting.
