Used to blow minds back in 6th grade when everybody else was giggling about spelling boob or boobies and you bust out a calculator word as complex as eggshells

Yeah, it’s really tricky. My friend has done it but I haven’t tried it yet.
You basically have to go way up North, then you have to get off your horse, then traverse over, there’s a spot where you can go off the map. Then go super Far East, and then go south until you start to fly.
Next you enter a cheat code, spawn a horse. Ride that horse into the air. Keep going till you fly back down, then stick the horse with a shite ton of stimulants.
Keep going until you are so far south you are near the edge of the screen. you will keep on swimming on your horse. Every time it’s stamina gets low, give it a stimulant. Keep going till you reach a shore. Open your map and you will be on the northern tip of Guarma.
Alternatively, you can try to play through the game extremely fast again, (no side quests or bounty hunting), then when you are in Guarma create a save slot.
You can find the glitch on YouTube.
I also saw on Reddit a guy glitched to Guarma and caught a goddamn shark.

Damn, I saw some YouTube videos of people exploring outside the map to the north. The landscape still looks detailed enough that it makes you wonder if Rockstar plans on expanding the game and the map in the future.
There's still a ton I want to to explore on here, but now I'm also really wanting to replay the original so I can kill Bill and Javier

I was disappointed in Javier. I liked him a lot in the beginning and I didn’t want him to be a villain.

Me too. I almost had forgotten that he's one of the main bad guys in RDR

So how is the game now that folks has had time to play it?
Is there a bunch of cut scenes? I just recently jumped over from the 360 to the x1, and noticed that a lot of games are focusing on the cut scenes and story more. If I cared about that stuff I'd watch a movie. I play the video game to play the game and not watch a cutscene every few 'chapters' or whatever. Please tell me that RDR2 isn't like this?

It is exactly like that. It's impossible to have a great story without cutscenes.

Pretty much all the cutscenes do is allow for necessary dialog, set up scenes, and position you for action. There's a lot of cutscenes, but there's a shite ton more of actual gameplay.

I mean, yea, not sure exactly how you think they're supposed to advance the story without cut scenes, and I don't know how you think they're going to have such a huge expansive game without a story.
Video game cut scenes aren't what they used to be any way, nowadays they use legitimate actors and the stories are better than movies a lot of the time.
I mean, technically if you really wanted to then once you get past the short first part of the game then I guess you could avoid the missions and cut scenes and just ride around treating it like YeeHaw GTA, but that would get boring fast IMO.
But then again it sounds like Pac-Man, or at most a side scrolled like Contra would be more your speed...

quote:The elder scrolls says otherwise. Many 360 games had some cut scenes but nothing like what I've seen with a few xbox one games and reviews. I thought the point of playing a game was to play the game and not watch a bunch of crap?

quote:You ain't got to have a cut scene for every mission or whatever (not specifically talking about RDR2 but other xbox one games) to advance the story. Oh wow, they use legit actors? Maybe I'll just watch a movie with those actors in it instead since they so good, amrite. Looking up reviews and the amount of cutscenes keep getting mentioned as a negative for the game, that is why I'm asking the question. Seems like a fanboys in here are busting a many of nuts while watching the cut scenes, so no wonder why yall rave on about it. Can you at least skip the cut scenes or do you need to make some popcorn to help make it through them?

You can skip them, but Idk why you would want to just blindly play along without really knowing what's going on.
It seems like a lot because its a big long game with a lot of missions, but the cutscenes are mostly pretty short, 2 to maybe 5 minutes except the big ones that transition between chapters, but even those aren't terribly long.
It's a huge game so the ratio of cutscenes to gameplay is actually pretty low. You'll spend way more actually playing the game if that's what you're worried about, and a lot of the cut scenes are interactive anyway or include important decisions you can make that alter the course of the game.
And even if you really just want to "play" the Game by roaming around aimlessly you'll probably still want to finish at least the first 1/4 of the story in order to build up some money and unlock some things.
Tbh man, if that's your attitude then you're probably wasting your time buying this game. But if you really want to give it a shot and are that anti-cutscene then I guess you coukd just avoid the story mode altogether and stick to the online mode
Did you not play the first Red Dead Redemption on 360? It was the same way

I hate how accidentally bumping into someone on the street can get you busted for 'assault' and have the cops on you in a heartbeat. Who knew that antagonizing someone could have them shoot at you and when you fire back you become wanted.
I just started chapter 4. Hate how they demean the South and ex confederates but i do enjoy a good shout out with the raiders.
I have not collected the first dinosaur bone or treasure (needle in a haystack if you ask me). Hunting is awesome.
Dutch has no plan
Took me awhile to get used to all the controls as they felt clunky to me. It's finally getting better.

You gotta knock them down for that, and to knock them down you gotta blast into them at full speed or run into them with your horse. If you're in a town just take it easy.
Also, you can antagonize people into coming at you first and you can knock them out and leave them lying in the middle of the street and nobody will take a second look, you only become wanted once you take out a weapon or if you loot them afterwards. But if you're really dead set on killing them or looting them then just put on a mask while you're out of sight of where ever you plan to make trouble. It'll come up as "Unknown Suspect" and then when you're done you can just run away and when they're done investigating you won't have a bounty unless you let them find you.
