I am not but you can't drill where there is no oil so it's an amazing leg up and yet Texas still has some of the most podunk places in the Country.
It still has some of the most podunk places in the country? That's your argument? Ridiculous. Does Georgia or whatever state you're from? fricking stupid, man.

Yeah that's called a dessert. Texas has practically every type of geography you can think of. it's a big state. Let's compare it to your state. No? That's what I thought.

Ranking Southern States by GDP

Florida – ~$1.6T

Seriously?…let’s not kid ourselves here

Once you go south of Ocala, realistically?…the rest of Florida cannot legitimately be classified as “Southern

Also?…if you separate the “GDP Metrics” based on “North of Ocala” vs “South of Ocala”….you’re gonna get a dramatic disparity of monetary value distribution data between the two geographical segmentations

Nice try to dismiss

The gently rolling hills and lush pastures of the state are well known globally for the livestock they produce. Earth so bountiful that farms there take those TX ranches 10x to 100x just to support said livestock.

The equine industry is global and Kentucky is the Galactic Central Point of said industry. As stated above, many Texans moved to Kentucky to live. The Spindletop oil fortune allowed the owner to settle in KY and the current University Country Club occupies that former home. Same for the heirs of the Exxon fortune and hundreds like them.

it's really embarrassing having Georgia elect Democrats to the senate and help Democrats steal presidential elections

Ohhh you're talking about Kentucky? A landlocked, irrelevant, little pipsqueak of a state. Horses, burboun, basketball, and "lush pastures". Congratulations, you have better soil. Ours has liquid gold underneath. You started out this debate being dismissive of Texas because it benefits from its geology then here you are talking about your states lush hills and pastures. It's hypocrisy! Regardless, now we can agree that geology and geography matter, immensely.

Texas is a GLOBAL force with an economy larger than most countries! If Texas seceded the US economy and national defense would crumble. No one would notice if Kentucky did the same. Nice talk, man. But come on, Kentucky?!

All hat, no cattle. Keep in mind it was those mountain boys from Kentucky and Tennessee that fought and died for Texas independence.

PS, Kentucky has 500 to 1000 years of coal in those hills and lots of hydroelectric in da hood to power the future of the TVA. Why do you think they built Oak Ridge and Fort Knox where they did.

Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Mississippi low populations. I'm surprised Kentucky is 4th from the bottom and that Louisiana is essentially a dead heat with Alabama. I figured NOLA, the ports, petroleum, etc would put Louisiana a bit further ahead but I suppose that Alabama has many of those same advantages minus tourism.
