Personally, I was extremely disappointed in UP. The opening sequence is great...classic even. However, the rest of the movie was just meh for me.
Dreamworks proved they are on Pixar's level with How to Train Your Dragon.

I came in with an open mind, but seeing the lack of respect Kung Fu Panda was getting made me realize that most of the people here have terrible taste in animated movies.

The opening of Up is just brilliantly written and I say that in comparison to not just animated movies. We could use more of that kind of writing in Hollywood.
