BTW, I've always though basketball fans are the most natural soccer converts. You see this yo be true?
I can see it. There are a lot of similarities minus the amount of scoring obviously, which has sort of caused soccer fans to be less willing to adopt basketball.
I think it helps that both fan bases here in the US seem to occupy the same age group.

I find myself usually becoming fans of players more than actual teams. So it's really hard for me to just say one team usually. I threw Newcastle in there just from the movie Goal

A) it's Tottenham, not Tottingham.
B) it's either Spurs or Tottenham Hotspur. Never just Tottenham.

Man City
I feel like they're the Auburn of the Premier League.

I have a friend who is a big West Ham fan because of the movie Green Street hooligans.

True about the ages, chicken or egg type question.
The movement off the ball and fluidity of the game reminds me of basketball. The scoring to me is irrelevant. Basketball lacks the tension of most soccer games, but tight games at the end are still nerve racking.
Leicester looking dangerous. Very impressive showing from the Foxes thus far. Getting any result would be huge for their hopes of staying up.

Not the worst analogy I've ever heard. Man U are certainly the Alabama.
That was a great counter. Then great goalkeeping!

Plus it feels like a great mix of stars with the necessity of team play. Both games highly dependent on skill.

I just remember during the 2012 Olympics in GB the reason given by a lot of people across the pond to why basketball hasn't caught on like it has in other countries was because they felt like it was too easy to score.

It's been a very enjoyable last couple of minutes after the snoozefest that was Aston Villa and Newcastle earlier.

Any of you have fifa 14?
I do. I've been playing a ton of it lately.
My friend just started playing and thinks I am too good to play friendlies against so we've been playing a ton of co-op.

Xbox One, but I think I still have it on 360 as well.
I don't think I am all that good, but I did beat my friend who was using Barcelona with the Seattle Sounders so...

I saw the scoreline of the early game and smiled that I didn't bother to wake up for that. Chelsea and Leicester have put on a show here. Leicester will survive the EPL. Blee dat.
I have FIFA 14 (ps3), but am stuck in a marathon career on 13 I can't end just yet. Leeds United. Yorkshire pride.
To the scoring point, sounds like the opposite of Americans about soccer. It's not a valid criticism of either.

I've seen some good 0-0 games, that was not one of them. Villa with 4 points despite only 1 shot on target in 2 games.

It just feels like a simplistic cop out.

0-0 games can be great. Newcastle and Aston Villa are not two teams to produce one.
Villa will come back to their razor's edge of relegation by Christmas. Who knows, this early run of fortune could be their saving grace in May.
To the scoring, it is an over simplistic cop - out of people who don't understand the basics of either sport.

I'm still on 360
I usually play Ultimate team. Playing w a pretty much USA front(Altidore, Demps, and Donovan). Pretty funny when I beat loaded arse teams but I usually only play single player FUT seasons, WC/Professional/SemiPro

Ultimate team is a lot of fun.
Nice goal from Hazard to seal the three points for Chelsea.
