In town, where the speed limit is 60 on I 10/12, I usually go 65-70 if there isn't any traffic on a weekend or something, but in heavy traffic, I just drive the speed that everyone else is.

Thats good. In heavy traffic you drive with the flow of traffic. The people that dont are the ones that cause accidents.

Driving slow in rush hour traffic keeps me from getting caught up in a chain reaction wreck where some 18-wheeler comes up from behind and plows through cars.

The difference between going 80mph and 50 mph over the course of 10 miles is a whopping 4.5 minutes. No point in getting stressed out, I just look at it as enough time for one more song

OMG!!!!!!! These retards here lose all ability to drive as soon as it starts sprinkling rain.

We have idiot drivers here. Throw in the 18 wheelers and its chaos.

Be careful when driving around mmlewis. If you scare him he'll shoot you I'm the head.

Why be scared?

I once had my license revoked by the state of Alabama for too many speeding tickets. (It was never actually suspended since I knew someone that knew someone.)

I once went 135 mph in my car.

I have no desire to drive like this anymore.

I drive this 25 mile stretch down an old Alabama State highway from my house to work every morning. The Speed Limit is posted as 55mph outside town limits, and 45-30mph when in the two towns I pass through. I leave my house every morning around 5:15-5:20am and it never fails. About halfway from my house and the first town I get behind this older Jeep Wrangler that wants to do 40mph down this 2 lane hwy. Most of the time I'm able to pass but if I'm not it drags the time of a normal 30 min drive to 40-50 minutes.

fricking irritates the hell out of me some mornings.

HOW Hard is it to set the damn cruise control to 55? I can easily do it in my Dodge Ram...

I just want to get to and from work in a reasonable amount of time without some fricktard holding up traffic.

Any other time, I'm much more patient.

I agree. The people that go slow enough that the 18 wheelers are forced to move into the passing lane really piss me off. You're telling me you can't drive your little four wheel car as fast as an freaking 18 wheeler. Drives me nuts. I might have a little road rage.

I don't fault people for driving a little slower in the rain just the ones going 2MPH when it's sprinkling.

No one is suggesting that you drive 135 mph.

People holding up traffic and driving slow in the fast lane are more likely to cause an accident than those who are going over the speed limit though.

They are the ones that cause the pileups. People have to slam on their brakes and try to get around them. That's how the pileups happen.

Eta: The dumb arse tailgaters driving 90 cause wrecks too.
