Who would want to live in any of the Top 9 on the list. Some are great to drive thru or fly over, but would you want to spend 356 days in any of them ?
I live in number 6. Awesome scenery, mild climate, good schools, top 5 economy.

Oregon was apparently pretty well known for it's sundown laws. I found that a bit surprising.
Oregon didn't allow blacks to establish residency until the 1920's.

the entire top 9 is great besides Minnesota and North Dakota. I don't know how much that poster has traveled to say the entire top 9 isn't attractive.

The top 10 seem to have something in common.

States ranked #36-#50 ALL voted for trump lol.
Sort by education and 17/18 least educated states are trump states.
Cant say I'm surprised.

Louisiana'a issue is not "culcha". That is an issue in one city within Louisiana. The state is made up of low income, uneducated whites in rural areas.
Wow! This has to be a louisiana poster here. I'd say about 20% of this statement is true.
Florida number 15

I wonder if it's a coincidence that the top ten states, for all practical purposes have very little ethnic diversity.
In Vermont for instance, white people make up 94.5% of the population. Alabama? 69.2%.
I wonder if states like vermont would drop in this ranking if they had more minorities and fewer white people?

Not arguing your overall point but WA is not that far off from Bama with 71.6%, granted that minority demographics are much different.

Yes, you're correct. Much different.
I'm succumbing to social\political sensitivities here.
