I like it! Keep on believing those opinions. Keep the lefty do-gooders away from here. If it helps to believe we are all sister lovers, toothless, rednecks....so be it.

but Louisiana has spiraled out of control lately

Culcha and corrupt politicians

Louisiana'a issue is not "culcha". That is an issue in one city within Louisiana. The state is made up of low income, uneducated whites in rural areas.

Give Nashville to New York and Tennessee would be the best place to live. Nothing but carpetbaggers that love pop country in that city.

People that say things like this are not familiar with how bad some parts of the state are. The parishes along the river are very bad. Like 3rd word country bad. Yes there’s a few decent places in the state but for every good place there’s 5 bad places. I believe this is why LA is always ranked bad. The gap is so crazy between very poor and very rich. There’s a very small middle class in this state. Middle class is what drives states to be considered “good.” It’s easy sit in Mandeville or Lafayette and say you don’t understand how this is the worst state when you’ve never stepped foot in Tensas, Rapides, West/East Carroll, Washington parishes. The bad places are next level bad I feel like most people living in the state don’t understand that.

There is a lot more to Louisiana than south Louisiana. The sunset towns of central and northern LA are poor as well. Very poor. I know this firsthand. It’s not all culcha. It’s just poverty in general.

I agree. People tend to overlook it but an overwhelming portion of the state is extremely poor and 15-20 years behind the rest of the country.

Great place to visit.
Not a great place to live.

So Iowa is a better place to live than North Carolina?
North Dakota is a better place to live than Colorado?
It's better to live in Idaho than Florida or Hawaii?????
This list is bogus.

While true, this is in rural parts. those number wont dilute any other statistic.

There’s some in south LA too. Don’t let these fools trick you into believing the gap between southern and the rest of LA is large. The southern part has more decent towns and things to do that’s why people assume it’s a haven compared to the rest of the state.

Who would want to live in any of the Top 9 on the list. Some are great to drive thru or fly over, but would you want to spend 356 days in any of them ?
