I haven't taken the time to read the whole thread, and I'm sure it's been posted - but the people who fought and died for our freedom did so in order that we would be able to treat the flag and anthem any way we want.

That is bullshite. They did it because this country asks it citizens who wear the uniform to follow orders and to be used as the tip of the spear for our foreign policy. They fight and die to protect their fellow soldiers and to protect their homeland from harm. None of them have a voice on how the flag and anthem should be treated and they probably would set you straight if you disrespected either one. Freedom has a price, the problem is that too many people sit and watch as other people pay it , while they reap the benefits of that protection.

Do y'all know WHY they are protesting? I mean, do you think Kap just woke up one day and said "I feel like protesting the national anthem, it sounds like fun."

Well let's see. 4 stadiums below 50 percent attendance yesterday, tv ratings way down near record low for the modern era. I have seen videos of people burning season tickets(knowing they could sell them, but they want the stadium empty) and nfl attire today. Money talks and bullshite walks. How long do you think the owners are willing to lose money? Even the ones who aren't losing money, know they are not making what they should be. You know that drives billionaires crazy. If it didn't, then they wouldn't be a billionaires.

It's not their platform to bring up politics. They are employees who are paid to do a job. The NFL wouldn't allow the Cowboys to wear a helmet sticker honoring the fallen police officers who were murdered in 2016. So they restrict free speech when they choose.

Former military here and it doesn't bother me one bit what someone does in regards to the national anthem. People have become to program by our government it's not illegal to kneel and it's not about the flag anyways. It's just a way non trump supporters voice their disgust with him.
