Holland certainly put themselves into the favorites conversation with that comprehensive victory. I thought the Italians looked sneaky good as well.

As a poster above noted, Brazil is young and may well find themselves over the next few weeks and are at home. Argentina are probably your SA favorites at the moment and they weren't exactly impressive against Bosnia.

Really interested in getting the next round of games going...see who the class really is.

Same here. I love the Orange kits and they are probably my go to national team on FIFA

Bad luck. Was really hoping Russia would go home for the next round.

so essentially all the US has to do is tie in their next game and not lose by more than 5 goals in the game after correct?

In theory...

Ghana could beat Germany and Portugal and Germany then beat us. Most likely though yes we get through in your scenario.

Looking forward to Spain v Chile and seeing how bad the Nederlands frick up Australia. Croatia v Camaroon as a night cap is meh. I hate the good games are scheduled for European primetime.

Yeah these next few days nothing is happening at all -- at least not until Saturday. Ghana vs. Germany should be an interesting match.

And I think Holland's going to apply the brakes, probably just coast in the game against Australia.

I keep seeing people say this, but everyone keeps forgetting that if we do lose to Germany, every goal Portugal beats Ghana by decreases our GD lead. We can lose to Germany by 1, have Portugal win by 4 against Ghana and we'll be tied with Portugal.

With Portugals starting D being banged up/red carded I think we might be able to do some damage.

I'm a little confused on what we do with Altidore out up front tho. Im thinking we might move Dempsey up and Zusi behind him.Or we might go with the Icelandic Gump at striker again and that be the only change on our attacking side but I wasn't to impressed with him. He gave the ball up to easy and it seemed like our offense really needed a possesion forward to make anything happen.

I'm just hoping CR doesn't make our center backs look bad with besler(?? the SpKC cb) possibly being out as well.

Besler is fine. Zusi will not play behind Dempsey. I'm a big Aron fan, but he's not a target striker. He needs someone to run off of, but he's still a lot better than Wondo.

I will keep my Zusi starting dream alive instead of him being super sub. Damn it.

What do you think we do with the forwards?
