Z-Bo became uncharacteristically soft these past two game.

Spurs have been fronting the shite out of him, and sending help in droves. Same strategy we used on the Lakers' tandem, tbh.

Y'all don't have the shooters to counter that strategy right now unless someone outside of Pondexter (who I love btw) gets hot.

And even then, I think SA would welcome a shootout-type game. We love the 3 ball

Gonna be a VERY interesting game 3. If Memphis wins, I think we end up going back to SA tied 2-2.

Apparently experience>>>youth

Honestly, I think the main reason SA has been so good for so long is that each of the Big 3 hit their primes at different stages. Duncan was a monster in 02/03, winning MVPs while Parker and Ginobili were rookies. Ginobili's older than Parker, but finally hit his stride in 05. Parker didn't really come into his own till 07.

They all know their roles and they are not asked to do much. Pop has used Ginobili/Duncan to maximize their effort. I mean many superstars wouldn't want to move into the roles these two have.

I credit David Robinson and Pop for fostering that culture of humility and readiness in the Spurs' organization. Only way I think Pop could do things like bring an all-star like Manu off the bench instead of start him in the prime of his career, or sit his NBA first teamer in Duncan for the final 4:28 of an elimination game and have no loss of respect or rapport. Truly remarkable.

Gonna be strange when Timmy finally has to hang 'em up
