It was pure fricking insanity. I've never been in that kind of basketball atmosphere in my life.

Duncan is the man One of the things I love about the Spurs is how down to Earth all of their superstars are.

I get chills every time I watch that. And I have ZERO connections to Auburn.

I was hammered drunk and I can still picture of second of the reaction in my mind like I videotaped it.

For real. I was in far more shock during that than this game. Then I was in hell afterward after that game and not really after this game.

This. The culture of the franchise just makes it so easy to root for them as a team. I'd be a fan regardless, but it's cool that they seem to be cool dudes. Haven't heard any former or retired Spur talk badly of their time in San Antonio.

Wish I could have seen it live. Was trying to get from our tailgate to the Mizzou/A&M game, though

I was at work with a group of AU fans (one whose a pretty bad negatiger and totally not fun to watch the game with) and I wasn't impressed with the "moment"

I Keed was a crazy ending but I knew as soon as Saban trotted the FG unit out there, he knew he didn't want any part of OT

Rumor I've heard is Saban and coaching staff lost the team's focus after the LSU game (got too big for their britches) so any decision at the end of that game wasn't gonna end well I felt

I was at a music venue in Birmingham watching it on a movie theater sized screen. There were probably 150-200 people there and I estimate 85% Bama fans which made it so much sweeter. The place had cleared of Bama fans within 5 minutes after the play

I was confident that AU would pull it out in OT. I can't remember the last time AU lost in OT.

Maybe the reason for some of the shakeups this offseason?

I had just gotten out of Bobby Dodd after our comeback and win in OT and was on the phone with my dad who was watching with my sisters who go to AU and Uncle who is a Bama alum and the kick 6 happened while he was on the phone with me. He went ballistic and I was telling all the fans walking out of the stadium what happened and half of them thought I was lying. Except the GT fans, they were just mad at life.

And, cat...

I wasn't as sure about that until his speech at the coaching clinic where he emphasized and some would even say was passionate about "shaking things up so that you don't get the same results" and then not so suttle shots like "If you want to work on the staff at Bama you better get to know the players and their families" and that is all I needed to know was said. That is why I'm actually happy with Bo coming back because he was a master at that and his DL's were some of the most dominant Saban has had at Bama, and I think the rendezvous Saban had with Kiffin about Bama's O and what needed to be changed etc sort of drew him in to Kiffin.

We shouldn't have let it come down to that. They got too comfortable with the lead. As a fan when we went up 21-3 early the mentality went from being nervous to a sigh of relief. I felt like we had it and just had to ride it out, and I guess the team had the same vibe going on.

If you want to blame any individual play it's the missed chip shot by Parkey. The KO return, not only because a player ran to the wrong lane on the coverage, but also because Parkey's KO are usually nonreturnable. Then the blown coverage on the last long pass play. I knew they would score at that point.

Sounds like some of the coaches came to Tuscaloosa with the mentality of using Bama as a career stepping stone and nothing else.

Still can't believe a team that was SOLID all yr on STs even kicked Bama's arse very thoroughly in that department, had that many mistakes 2 bobbled fumbles, missed FG, and allowed a TD on a KO where was that shite against Bama

Well I'm off to bed Night guys

Yup, and I was afraid of that. Allowing them to score before the half was big, as was the missed chip shot FG

Inexcusable.

I wish y'all's last TD drive had lasted longer, but that run by Tre

Yep and some didn't get desired results or didn't connect with kids

And Nuss and Saban didn't gel well together, both admitted that a change was needed and parted

Saban knew on O he needed a shake-up type hire and he got it with Kiffin

On D he felt like he needed more sturdy sound guys who he could trust and are damn fine football coaches, hence Bo Davis and very likely moving Kevin Steele back on staff to coach LBs and Kirby to take back over DBs and getting rid of Brown (Bama's current DB coach)

Not just all year, but STs is ALWAYS a strength for Auburn. Even when we were 3-9 Auburn had one of the best STs in the country.

Let's not talk about this anymore. Let's talk about basketball after I pour this drink.

Spurs and Iowa are both on fire

Good night Bucc
