I've tried to get into the NHL. I think of all the sports I don't really like (soccer, hockey, baseball) it has the most potential. Problem is I don't know a soul outside of Crosby and Ovechkin and they aren't always playing. I think the NHL does a really poor job marketing itself

Yeah, there ARE enough players to go around if the Lakers and Celtics are the only ones doing it. If you add just one more team doing it (and there's now two doing it), it's just a turn-off.

hockey is a sport you need to attend live. i used to not give a shite until my friend who had kings season tickets started taking me. since then ive been hooked

I tried too but the only teams I can get on TV here are absolute shite. Makes it hard to watch.

I think I could get really into hockey if I had a team- a real team- and not one South of the Mason Dixon line; it just seemed stupid for a hockey team to be in Atlanta. I'll never be able to take Southern or Western hockey teams seriously.

I used to go to some ECHL games when the Louisville Icehawks were here. And some UK club games. It's fantastic live.
