And I assure you that you're full of shite. The only reason you or other people's towels would get a mildewy smell is if they are not properly hung up so they can dry quickly. Throwing them on the bathroom floor isn't going to work, though its awfully convenient.

They don't turn on the AC when it's hot, and they don't turn the heater on when it's cold. Dog hair being everywhere. Cat hair being everywhere. TV being turned up too loud. Not enough food. Bitchy wife/gf/fiancé.

I asked my brother about it, whose townhouse I'm currently staying in, and he said he definitely doesn't do that.
He did explain to me that some don't have washer/dryer hookups. And if you think about it, it's a lot less disgusting if it's just 1 person living there. You just got out of the shower, you're clean, the only thing going on the towel is 98% water.
That said, I wouldn't do that shite...
