Getting the baby out takes only a few minutes. Stitching back up and whatnot can take up to an hour, then there is a 3 hour recovery window.

c sections are brutal to recover from - cutting through abdomen muscles is serious shite

Sister is ok. So fricking relieved.

Congrats, man!

Haven't had a sister go through that yet. Gotta be stressful. At least with my wife I was right there and could see everything going on and knew what she could handle.

It's her first child. She wasn't due for another 2 weeks. It was the long silences between updates that were driving me crazy.

Just got off the phone with her, they're both doing great. Quinn heard my voice and perked up immediately.

My nephew was the same way (other sister's kid).

Babies love me. Going down to Florida in a couple weeks to see her.

Now I gotta prepare myself for the inevitable guilt trip from my mother for not procreating yet. I just don't hate anyone enough to impregnate them with my evil spawn.

Congrats!

"You'll not see nothing like the mighty Quinn."

Edit: fixed the quote. Dunno why I had the wrong wording stuck in my head.

Glad that everything turned out ok. I actually had a friend die shortly after giving birth a few months ago due to an amniotic fluid embolism

Yea, it was pretty shocking. I had never heard of it before. I felt absolutely terrible for her husband having to go through that
