The Sphinx is actually about 11,000 years old. The Egyptians did not build it, actually just restoring it. The original head is thought to be a lion which was replaced by the head of a pharaoh or priest. Thoughts? Discussion? Is this plausible? I think I read somewhere a while back that the face doesn't match the body.

It's like that statue in Lost, but in Egypt. It's plausible, because it was in Lost.

You can tell that by looking at it, you don't need need no history book to realize it

Houston Nutt developing a QB isn't plausible.

I think it used to be just a head and body down to the waist. It was on some type of elevator and would rise out of the ground via a pulley system when enemies approached.

On holidays, they would lift it up for the entire night and do epic fireworks around it...much like the Epcot ball in the lake.
