very proud of him, he works his arse off and applies himself

Too bad I can't go to the Auburn board and celebrate this accomplishment...

Really?....that's bullshite, but it tells you something about the Auburn mentality.
Hell, you'd think that the mods would give you at least a temp. pass for that, considering all the $$$$ you're laying out to the school. Maybe a boog will read your thread and give you some help.

I should also get a temporary pass to celebrate Coach Tuberville's Senate candidacy (maybe not, since political posts can be divisive...)

but we are very fortunate, he graduated HS with a 4.39 GPA and pulled a 33 on the ACT, so our financial outlay is pretty minimal

What’s the point of team boards if everybody can post there? Never understood that.

Also the fact that everybody gets butthurt about not being able to post on there makes it better.

Sounds like you've got a very bright kid on your hands!
Then I guess my only question is why didn't y'all get him a scholly to a good school?

Would you suggest a party school like Bama, where he'll earn less with his degree than with one from Auburn? That's on the slim chance he doesn't get pressured into joining a frat so he's still able to make it out with a degree and without alcoholism, a coke addiction, and a sexual assault charge

Who's butthurt? The guys son goes to Auburn and he can't publicly announce his accomplishments at Auburn on an....Auburn board?
PS-I've never had a desire to post on the Auburn board and don't have a problem with the Auburn posters on the Alabama board. If one should get offensive, we know how to get rid of them...we actually welcome other fans' perspective on various topics...guess we're just not close-minded about things.

to get some serious discussion on upcoming games without the inevitable trolling that comes with most threads on sRant

also, for OT questions about places to stay, best place to fish, or whatever

After reading your post, I'm pretty sure you don't have much personal experience with either environment.

Congrats to your kid. Not an easy task to get on the list...even harder to stay on it. Huge accomplishment

What is he majoring in?

What satisfaction does that bring anybody? If it’s that important his son is free to post on our board

There’s the Rant. Then there’s team boards. You get outside perspective from one. Only talk to your schools’ fans on the other. Don’t see why I need outside perspective on both

I was in COSAM as well. Don’t let him get discouraged by a few of the weed-out courses along his way. Biochem, organic 1&2. Get a C or maybe B and never look back

Congrats again

thx

I already have him lined up to shadow Dr. Jim Day (ophthalmologist, decades in practice, also a lobbyist for his field in Montgomery) and we are going to ask Dr. John Cortopassi (my wife's pediatrician and also all our kids)

my thought is that selecting older and well established docs may give him an edge...

appreciate your comments

That is great to hear!

And from what you have been saying its not like he's taking basket weaving 101 for his degree either.

Dean's list is damn impressive. He's really putting in the work at Auburn and I think he has a great future ahead of him.
