That's the story you told.
I've read up on possession. It is some scary stuff.

I cant ever decide if I actually think it could happen today. But then why not? If we're assuming the biblical accounts are true then possession is indeed real
Scary to think about

It is the only thing that makes me uneasy in a clinical setting. Very disturbing.

Is there any chance they had a group session where those things were disclosed and you weren’t present? Or maybe they overheard conversations or just had really good, Sherlock Holmes tier, deductive skills.

I am saying they could have been a schizophrenic from birth but will probably never know now. They were diagnosed and hospitalized in their early 20's. The secondary personality occurred during / after the scarlet fever episode almost a decade before that diagnosis and hospitalization.
The other case I was familiar with was Sybil and (as a layman) I saw striking similarities to the first.
The third was a friend from my youth that wound up in an asylum and shock treatments for about 2 years. As for them the "second" person may have been a demon but was quite frightening and created faces not seen on them when sane / medicated. Since they were Catholic they went the priest route first but it was the shock that got it fixed. After that they stayed on their meds and that seemed to keep it in check. As for this one I am unaware of any sickness or brain trauma as the incubator and we ere friends most of our lives I would have know. Especially as their parents and siblings knew I was out there when they were not looking out for them.
While this is not a broad statistical pool, it was enough of a sample size for me to believe it existed.

Nope. I was the staff MD the entire month. They all got admitted at different times. The “possessed” lady came in 36 hrs before and never left her room. Refused blood work. Only ate 1 meal in her room. I wrote an order to force her out of the room and into group just so I could observe her better. It was an entirely disturbing experience. Every patient was shaken up by it. One guy signed out against medical advice because he was terrified of her.

Ok.
No matter what we are both talking about, the numbers are exceedingly low. It’s hard to draw conclusions from such low prevelence.

It happens today. Do some reading and make up your own mind, though.

Doesn’t surprise me to learn that Pentecostals have their own thing. Seems like something they’d be in to.

he usual people diagnosed with it in the past are individuals who were seeking a psychological symptom to identify with and assume the sick role. Those individuals (in 2019) are now more likely to report gender identity symptoms.
It's funny because even when I was studying psychology years ago I always associated it with attention-seeking behavior which I see in transgendered/transsexual people. Sort of like "I want to be different", type of deal.
These people generally have much more blunted/lesser disorders that they try to amplify to feel unique. I would assume that a person who hears another voice in their head that tells them to do things is simply schizophrenic who has given their second inner voice a name and made it into a character.
I'm not sure I've ever seen a legitimate case, or even heard of one wherein there were no other reported disorders. There is almost always an underlying/lesser disorder that these people build upon and most of the people I checked in on with this problem (won't say disorder) were almost ubiquitously victims of child abuse.

Yea I heard the church is mobilizing to counter the issue but I avoid reading about it because it’s genuinely disturbing.
