Second time I watched it I thought the lighting on the bear looked weird. A lot of people in the comments suggest it's fake...but the kind of people that comment on youtube videos are even worse than rantards.

It's real and thanks for posting this link. You actually seem like a really cool guy. Since we are getting to know each other I happen to have some really lucrative bay side time share condos that would be a deal, I mean steal for you. Id say not legit.
1. Grizzlies would've easily outrun a guy on a bike. 35 mph for a few hundred yards. The bear never gains on the guy.
2. Running 10 yards off the trail ain't gonna fool one. He'll smell people the guy met yesterday and know exact the he's standing.
3. The color of the bear didnt match the rest of the video.

Doesn't look like the coniferous type forest that North American grizzlies/big browns inhabit. Plus, no one is going to outrun a brown bear on a bicycle.

Dropping the bike and running a few paces off to the side isn't going to throw a bear off his scent. That bear can smell him a mile away.

can you imagine what it would be like to be able to smell shite from a mile away? I mean you could literally smell shite from a mile away. like your neighbor 2 blocks away is taking a shite you can smell it. finding drugs would be so much easier.

Yeah, that and the fact that the bear never gains/loses on him have me thinking it's fake. And I'm not one of those that thinks every video is fake, either.
No way the bear "lost" him that easily after giving extended chase.
