Here in STL looks like 8 inches or so, and it’s still falling. Glad I don’t have to leave the house today.

Looks like a lot of fun. Is it wet snow?
We haven't had a decent winter storm (>6") in Knoxville since 2016. I like the way the pattern is setting up 1-2 weeks from today. Hopefully we can score big like y'all are today.

It was dry last night. This morning it’s more wet.

Lexington didn't get as much as predicted. Storm moved through quickly. Rain on the way.

What part of the state is that?

I'm hoping for a big one in East Tennessee this year. The winters down our way this past decade haven't produced much snow at all. We've had some frigid temperatures some years (2014 and 2015) plus several major ice storms, but no notable snowfall events except for the 2016 blizzard.
I'm only in my early 20s, but it doesn't snow nearly as much as it used to when I was a kid, at least in Tennessee. I remember we would have one 6" or greater snow per year in Nashville all through the 2000s. I hope this is simply the result of the Pacific Oscillation and not a byproduct of increasing annual temperatures. Our winters have been exceptionally mild.
I also have family in western Russia and Germany and they say it doesn't snow anything like it did back in the 1970s and 80s. Apparently it's the same story in the U.S. South. I've heard from plenty of older folks in Tennessee that it used to snow so much more going back to the 1950s through the 1980s.

It's Saturday and there's over a foot of snow outside and it's still coming down. My car is too low to the ground and there's no way I can get out. My girlfriend, family, friends, basically everyone I know is snowed the frick in and most places are closed.
I'm just gonna get drunk and post on the rant for the day. I might game a little too.
