Doing 3 days this weekend on a whim with some friends and not sure where to go on LBL. Not looking for traditional camp spots or main trails. Backcountry hike/camp.

Backcountry camping

LBL hiking trails.

I don't know of any primitive trails, if that's what you're looking for but I remember hiking was very easy there. Haven't been for many years.

Enjoy.

If you ever want to experience some awesome camping/hiking/climbing, make your way to the Red River Gorge.

Red River Gorge is a possibility, but that's about 4.5 hours from me and we're trying to get there in enough time to set up camp before dark after work on Friday. Kinda why we chose LBL. This is all on a whim.

After firing up the google machine though, I certainly want to try out RRG.
