Some people appreciate the values instilled in them and cling to the symbols of those values. Unfortunately those symbols represent something else to other people.

Why would anyone want to fly a United States flag ? Thousands upon thousands of innocent people have died at the hands of our military... Both abroad and on our home soil.
Your argument is dumb.. freedom of speech gives an individual the right to fly the stars and bars.. I certainly wouldn't fly it or have a sticker on my vehicle... But if someone wants to the Constitution says they can.

I personally don't fly the flag because I'm not ok with people thinking I'm a racist. That and I can understand why someone could be offended by what that flag is a symbol of. It's not that I'm not proud to be from the South, but I show it in other ways.
