On speakers, through headphones, whatever. What do you listen to that helps you get in the zone at work and get stuff done?
For the longest time, my go-to was the Chillwave station on Pandora. Recently I read some recommendations about the HALO ODST soundtrack. I was skeptical, but it delivers. I prefer mostly (if not all) instrumental. Any recommendations?

Sigur Ros or Miles Davis seem to be the most popular according to Spotify.

depends on the mood I'm in. I do service work with my company, so always on the go.
Some days I'm in the mood for instrumental like you and tend to go with:
Bear McCreary
I've been hooked on some darker music here lately for some reason...
In this Moment
5 Finger Death Punch

Ringing phones, muffled conversations of employees, copy machine purring, e-mail alerts, intercom buzzing, nearly silent footsteps on thick office carpet, knocking on door, heart beating faster, etc.

The birds, the wind, insects, coyotes, the sounds of the outdoors.
Or a live show from the ABB or Grateful Dead.
