Good luck man. As much as I bitch about my property taxes since I don't have kids, I always like hearing about people that go into the profession. I certainly wouldn't, as much as I love kids, I don't really like people. I couldn't deal with the parental portion of the scenario.

Well, from what little I know about you from the OT, your general demeanor, and recently your boob size, you should be pretty effective with the high school boys.

I don't mind it, since I am working on my masters I get paid a great amount to work basically 8 months out of the year (when you take into account holidays and teacher days off) so I figure working a minimal job over summer I am clearing 60-65k a year easy

Not a bad deal, what do you plan on doing after the masters? Going into administration, or getting into something else?

This might be the greatest thing I've eaten, ever (minus some home cooked meals)

What is that? Looks pretty good, but I'm going to need some ingredients to justify your claim of it being the best thing you've ever eaten.

I am not sure yet, I know from where I am not to showing my masters is about a 5-7k a year raise so that is a good thing. Although I am not sure about my masters, my mom has her doctorate so school has always been important so I may go for mine just to have. My main thing is cost, right now I have student loans covering it and I may go and teach at a poverty stricken area to get a tuition reinstatement.

is it bad I have to close one eye to type this and see it clearly?

It's called The Bandito from Coop Deville here in Oxford. Chicken strips covered in ranch, salsa and cheddar cheese.

I've always wanted to get a masters and potentially a doctorate, but I'm completely averse to debt. It's why my degree's from UNLV instead of Mizzou.

Nope, that's a successful night as long as you're within walking distance of your bed.

Edit: changed adverse to averse, fricking UNLV.

That sounds amazing. Fried strips, grilled, or baked?

Debt isn't an issue, especially since in Louisiana teachers/nurses can apply for a special type of funding that pays up to 75% of your loan back. Basically you teach at a poverty stricken school (or work at hospital) and for the 5 years you put in they pay your tuition plus a payout at the end)

My whole trap was that as soon as I got into school here in Vegas I got into a business that paid really well. Next thing I know I'm 29 with some money and no desire to go to school. So now that I hate what I was doing (because it sucked) I don't know what to do.

It's a daily battle.

I understand that, when I got out of military my lawn business was a success and I had more than enough money to pay bill and what not. Then competition came things got tight and I went back for my degree. Worked for the state for awhile until burnout hit and then I went back to school while I bounced around jobs for awhile. Juggling school and jobs can be difficult especially with cut backs since certain classes can only be offered at certain times now.

A true man. We've got a place here in town called BFG Chicken Strips. They just sell chicken strips either baked, fried, or grilled.

As much as I've heard the baked and grilled are good, I just can't get myself to order anything but fried because 'merica.
