If Auburn would add some more bars y'all could have a legit campus but there just isnt shite to do in Auburn. Both times I've been it was house parties and I'd rather get wasted at a bar.

I've come to realize this lately. I used to be a Gspot, Bear Trap, and Red Shed only and Houndstooth because I know some many that work there but I've been going downtown a lot more. The Houndstooth has huge regular crowd but its not near as social as downtown bars. Filling Station and CopperTop are legit.

Most people come around eventually. Unfortunately, it's usually not until you have already been in Ttown for 2 or 3 years. Filling Station, CopperTop, and 1831 were usually the 3 we drifted between most nights when I was in school. Occasionally Bo's if someone we knew was playing. You get some townie types in there but overall it's not that bad. The only bar on the Strip that is really worth a shite is Egan's. Most people steer clear because of the type of patrons it generally attracts, but their drinks are strooooooong.

Auburn is better for house parties than Tuscaloosa because they have several neighborhoods that are nothing but students and parking is 1000x better, but we have them beat on bars and it isn't even close.

I like a good house party myself, and if I'm getting shitfaced that's where I'd rather be just because its less risky as far as getting arrested unless you drive home.

hell yea. I'm sure you'll have a blast. I've very rarely heard of opposing fans have a bad time.

Well, I won't necessarily be there as an opposing fan. I do have a Bama sweatshirt I could wear if it's cold.

Besides, Mizzou doesn't play Bama this year.

Yea I realized that after I posted. Regardless you're surely in for a good time I'd love to visit Columbia. I've never been to Mizzou.

I live in Midtown ATL and I've never heard a real gunshot here. I used to live within walking distance of downtown and never heard one there either.

You would love Columbia. It's a great college town, similar in some ways to Athens. Campus borders downtown, so most of the bars are walking distance from school. It's a pretty campus, the entire campus has been designated as a botanical garden. We have some tailgating work to do, but you would really like it here. Everyone does.
