So do you guys like the fluoride added to your water? There are only a few ways to remove fluoride that is added to your water, distillation, and reverse osmosis. Unless you drink bottle water all the time, do you like the added fluoride?

Most of the population is poisoned with fluoride through their tap water and showers. Whats more fricked up about it is that we are paying for it.

Why do we keep putting this in our water? It has no health benefits as most of the fluoride that is added is sodium fluoride which can be found in rat poisons and a nuclear waste product.

When your body is low in iodine, it takes the next closest chemical and uses it. Usually its fluoride, since most americans are deficient in iodine. Throw in the fact it is used to water most of the food we eat and animals.

But why do we continue to do this?

Population control under the guise of dental health.

I drink a lot of water (Probably 1.5-2 gallons a day), and I refuse to touch the stuff out of the tap.

If there's a connection between Alzheimers and fluoride for normal 5 glasses of water a day douches, I'll wind up getting it at 40 with the amount I drink.

Fluoride is added to most of our drinking water, atleast over half. In my state, only 10-15 counties dont fluoridate the water supply, which is a very small %. They main reason is that its good for our teeth. So what, being good for teeth do not outweigh the negatives.

We're on well water, so at least I don't have to worry about this.

Man your lucky! But not matter how good of measures you take, it can all be ruined when your neighbors dont, and you get runoff from pesticides and such. But still that prob doesn't happen much and would still be better than city water.

Flouride is a neurotoxin. If you can avoid it, do.

If there's one thing Metro Memphis does have, it's an incredible water supply.. Why the surgeon general ever approved of the general public putting a poisonous neuro-toxin in their mouths twice a day is beyond me ?!

My problem is that I just found out about it, and I've been drinking a shite ton of water lately. Really thats the only thing I drink, besides alcohol. It seems I got low thyroid maybe b/c of the water.

West TN as a whole has some of the best water due to artesian wells.

ETA: Every house in our subdivision is on a well.

There are both sides to every story, and for me, the negatives out way whatever positives there may be.

Are you basing this off of the Harvard study? Or just your personal feelings.

How has this thread gone this long without a Dr. Strangelove reference?

quote:

General Jack D. Ripper: Mandrake, do you realize that in addition to fluoridating water, why, there are studies underway to fluoridate salt, flour, fruit juices, soup, sugar, milk... ice cream. Ice cream, Mandrake, children's ice cream.
Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: [very nervous] Lord, Jack.
General Jack D. Ripper: You know when fluoridation first began?
Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: I... no, no. I don't, Jack.
General Jack D. Ripper: Nineteen hundred and forty-six. 1946, Mandrake. How does that coincide with your post-war Commie conspiracy, huh? It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual. Certainly without any choice. That's the way your hard-core Commie works.

It is an industrial byproduct, and toxic waste.

I agree.

In fact, I agree so strongly that I moved away from a city (BRLA) to a rural location with my own well.

Since moving here in 2006, I have not had 1 cavity. Neither has my wife or either of my kids.

That is me using the same dental hygeine regimen I used before moving here, wherein I averaged about 1 cavity/filling per every two years prior.

The water in BRLA was flouridated. The water from my well is not. BTW, we ran a full test on the water from that well, and it tested clean of all industrial and agricultural pollutants, heavy metals, etc.

The reason it's still being done can be speculated upon. There is some research that indicates the Nazis and the Soviets used it on their camp residents (concentration/gulag) to enhance docility and improve the inmates' ability to respond to 'suggestion'. Not endorsing it only pointing out.

Also it should be noted that many dentists who opposed this move initially were all basically black balled back in the '50s.

Now when we go to the dentist and he says {your kids need flouride", I politely decline and ask him to point out specifically which dental condition afflicting my kids justifies this 'need'/

He cannot. He eventually stopped asking. When I asked him why he got a confused look on his face, and said 'because research shows' blah blah blah.

I'm here to tell you that my OWN research shows that you don't need it. And that it is indeed a toxic waste product, that in the case of many municipalities, comes from China.

Generally, it's a clue that something fishy is going on whenever you get automatons criticizing the sanity of anybody who questions certain sacred myths or policies, such as this.

Why would they strive so hard to discredit somebody who questions? Resort to ad-hominem attacks and angry words?

No fluoride in this guy's water and we like it just fine, thank you very much.

<--dons virtual nomex suit for the flame fest that is sure to ensue... calling me crazy, tinfoil, blah blah blah.

Guess what? IDGAF what a bunch of screen=addled iDiots think.

I go by results. And not a single cavity in 8 years on any of us is pretty conclusive proof of the fallacy of the 'we need fluoride' argument, especially given the history of my spouse and I having cavities prior to switching water supplies.

The info is out there if you care to put down your iDiot device and look for yourself.

I understand that it is much easier to accept the mainstream view "because everybody else does it" or to trust your government, but I submit that anybody who studies these issues objectively and with an open mind will come to conclusions that are not accepted in mainstream society.

It takes balls to step outside of the groupthink and form your own opinions. Unfortunately for this country, many men seem to lack a functional set with testosterone.

In an insane society, the sane man is thought to be crazy.

If you don't think our society and culture are going completely insane, then I suggest you're either ignorant or in willful denial.

Researching fluoride will lead you to some rabbit holes you really won't like. I promise you.

The question is: can you handle the truth or would you rather go on believing a bunch of lies and propaganda because everyone else does or because you're afraid of the ridicule you might have to endure by understanding and acting upon actual facts?

Cheers to you, dawgsjw, for broaching the subject here.

The ensuing discussion will be enlightening I'm sure.

So? My grandfather smoked a pack a day and lived until he was 92.

Ok, lets imagine that yeah fluoride is safe as shite for you and has no negative side effects. Cool, but why put it in the water? And then not properly inform the people drinking it that it is in there. I know a lot of people have no idea that it is in the water and even if it is, they use a water filter to filter out the stuff, except they usually dont filter out fluoride.

This sounds like some shite straight out of batman, with the joker poisoning the water supply. And all that just for the sake of teeth? Give me a fricking break
