Large carnivorous Lizards?
Canada. North of the Arctic Circle. While it would take some work its possible to live off the land.
Large and lizard implies that the invaders would settle in warm and moist areas. They would need the heat to remain active and assist in digesting their meals.
High mountain terrain would be another good choice. They probably wouldn't find much of the Rocky Mountain range to be desirable habitat.
Ideally Antarctica would hold out indefinitely but you have the problem of food supply. While you can certainly find enough meat there a lack of plants would eventually do you in.
The way to defeat such an invasion would probably be finding a way to trigger the super volcanoes on the planet to bring about another Ice Age. Very unpleasant for us but more so for the invaders.
Also they would have to genetically modify themselves to be able to process Terran food, including us, that would make them susceptible to biological warfare.

They use gold nanoparticles in their atmosphere to protect their planet and keep their atmosphere in place when their orbit is in deep space.
You can google "gold particles in atmosphere" to learn more about the actual science of what gold nanoparticles can do in the atmosphere.
They also use it to line their ships with to protect them from radiation in space. That is also a real thing that humans do btw, we line our space crafts and stations with gold foil inside the walls

Figure out how to cook them optimally (probably deep fried in bacon grease), make a show about it on the Food Network.

I'd go down in an automatic weapon blaze of glory, taking out as many of them as I could. Any who want to go with me should go for head shots. Likely to be fatal for them also.
