I want people to have to weep in misery that their phones don't work anymore per the grid being "gone" (down)

I want them to the get drunk and cry themselves to sleep because their lives are over because they can't see anything on their phone anymore, and then I want them to stagger to their grandfather's shed and find a fishing pole and some rubber worms

walk to a pond and fish and STFU and keep fishing and S.T.F.U.

learn to clean fish by default, cook the fish and eat them and eventually by week 3 they are smiling at the new world

keep fishing and eat that and read some books by candelight and shut the frick up

what questions do you all have?

Can't we just come to your house to see that on a Tuesday night?

I'm picturing the people you're probably talking about, and can't imagine them 1) living anywhere close to their grandfather, 2) having a nearby pond with fish, or C) having any innate ability to catch, clean, or perhaps even cook fish despite any of the above.

As a side note, we used to teach young men how to do this and much more in programs like the Boy Scouts, most or all of which have been thoroughly ruined at this point.

All of these skills would be beneficial when China eventually takes out our communication satellites and blankets us with a bunch of EMPs, but I digress...

You want a lot of people to fish, i take it. Fish, in those circumstances, would be depleted in probably about 1 month. You think the entire population will go by rules? Poisioning ponds and lakes and other illegal means will wipe out fish quickly.

But I get your drift.

If the grid went, but the majority of transportation was still in service, then it wouldn't be a huge deal. Take out transportation too (emp blast) and 1/4 of the population would be dead in 6 months.

Why you're so ate up with the way other people choose to live their lives. Imagine the melting that would occur if someone posted on these boards that anyone who is not tethered to their phone 24-7 should just STFU. Is it because you are so dissapointed in your own lot in life that you think you have some insight into that of others?
