Kinda the reason I like TBird -- he at least holds an opinion but not to an extreme and attempts at some form of middle ground. Tele just has a very difficult time coming to terms with losing intellectual points.

One of the things I have encountered that I consider to be white privilege is hiring standards. A small business owner in Tuscaloosa I know will not hire a black person unless that have a degree from a predominantly white university. The white people that have been hired are not required to have a degree at all.

A small business in (insert town here) won't hire anymore whites because they need to reach an affirmative action quota or qualify for a tax break by doing so.
It goes both ways.
