No to shite on dude, because it's an incredibly impressive number... but I've never spent 30 minutes freebasing oxygen at 5x the potency it's found in nature before trying. Hypoxia and hypoxemia never sounded too fun to me.

My personal best was 5:44. Hyperventilating, then latching onto the bottom of the ladder in the deep end and totally relaxing. That was nearly 30 years ago. No way I could do that these days.

Never got to 5 minutes. I was always around 3 minutes, but I could swim 75 meters before taking a breath

Holy hell! I am very impressed. Best I could ever do underwater was about 2 minutes.
