How do you feel about dogs being present at weddings and funerals?

I like it.
My Dad would have had a conniption fit.
No Yorkies and wiener dogs.
Basically only hounds and shepherds and labs
Beagles would be funny.

I went to a wedding last year and they had their dogs up by the bridal party. I thought it was fitting knowing how they are with their dogs.

I dont mind dogs at weddings. My buddy got married in the middle of a rodeo arena and I saw a blue heeler walk over and pee on a square bale used for seating during the service. Thought it was funny.

Dunno about weddings as at my age not like I go to many anymore. As for funerals, based on the behavior of some humans at funerals the past decade or so, dogs would probably have better manners, so why not.
Was at a funeral (maybe 2010 to 2020, pre c19) when the family got in a fight and knocked the open casket off and tumbled the deceased out. In this age it would have been caught on camera and been a top view on social media.

Not so much at weddings, but an old dog at a graveside service is almost a tradition here.
I've got a small calico cat that if you brought it to my funeral would probably hop up on the casket and take a nap. I can't lay down anywhere without her sleeping on me.
