I don't give a flying frick about hockey but if the only way you could ever get me to watch it as a kid was if Gretzky was playing.
There have been 4 instances when 200 points have been scored by a single player in a single season. All four seasons were by Wayne Gretzky.

But Jordan would completely shut down LeBron right?
Bruce Bowen did.

I'm sure Jordan has had bad games as well, what about LeBron dropping 45 in a closeout game against Celtics who have been considered one of the top defensive teams in the league for years now.
You can argue that LeBron is better or Jordan is better. There is without a doubt an argument to be made for both cases though. Anyone who says otherwise is a hater. And the fact that LeBron is in the argument is a testament to how good he is.

I'm a Jordan fan and a LeBron fan. I'm not a hater in the slightest. Well, I hate Kobe.
Jordan is better than LeBron
Jordan is better than LeBron

Got to see Jordan in his last season with the Wizards when they played the Grizz. Isn't as big as seeing him in his prime with the Bulls, but probably one of the most memorable moments I have of ever attended an NBA game.

But is there an argument to be made? not about hardware, but about pure motherfricking basketball skills

LeBron is NOT the best ever.

We already stated this is true but greatness is defined in championships so ...

So Bill Russell is the best ever, and around and around we go.

I did see Jordan play, and yes he was good. But he only did two things, shot well and had good dunks.
The fact that you say that makes me think you didn't see Jordan play much. It's unreasonable or dishonest to say that Jordan only did two things well. He was better than "good." He is known for being hyper competitive. The guy never took a night off. And you aren't giving him credit for being a great defender. It's impossible to say that there will never be a better player, but I don't think James is at Jordan's level. James could end up being remembered as the best player of his time, but there's no way that he should be considered better than Jordan as of right now.

Did he receive the FINALS MVP all SIX times though?
I'll hang up and listen ...

Jordan never would have played like LeBron did in the Finals against the Mavs.

Oh so now it is about Championship MVP's, I thought it was all about championships? Btw I disagree with the championship MVP being the determining factor, would the best player ever be any less great if he drove and dished to a wide open teammate who would hit the shots the entire series resulting in said teammate getting championship MVP votes?
And for the record I know that Michael Jordan is better than Bill Russell.

I get your point but you have to have tie breakers and this is best way IMO.
