UFO? Ghost? Cryptid?

Share your story.

SERIOUS REPLIES ONLY PLEASE

About 6 months ago I saw a black orb about the size of a golf ball float silently up from the ground, bounce off a wall, and then glide up in to the sky very slowly. I have no idea what it was. Only thing I’ve ever seen that I’m not sure about.

Blue light in the sky moving in a straight line at a constant speed stopped, stayed stationary for about a minute, then went vertical and rapidly gained altitude out of sight.

Pretty awe inspiring

In high school three of us were back road riding one night and pulled over and watched something dark about the size of a football field fly silently over us and toward my home town. It was only 500-600 feet off the ground. We all agreed we wouldn’t say anything about it to anyone else because they’d think we were crazy.

My old house was haunted by a girl that used to live in it. You could hear voices at night from outside my bedroom that stopped once you got out of bed and moved towards them. I heard her call my dog’s name one time. The dog was sitting on the couch staring at nothing and wagging its tail. When I moved out, the ghost packed an old cigar box with some items and left it next to the steps down from the attic. In the box was old children’s shoes, violin rosin, a perfume bottle, etc. my wife refused to take it with us. But I do have some of her homework that I found in the attic.

Actually I had a very similar experience. I was in bed one night and the lights were all out but this white orb thing came floating up around the room and moved about for 30-60 secs before disappearing out of the door and around the corner.

Many years ago now I read somewhere online about a specific type of meditation that could supposedly allow one to have contact with extraterrestrials. I had become interested in this when I had seen a giant black triangle flying silently over the town of Berryville, AR in 1996. So I decided to give the meditation a go because that triangle flew directly over my house!

So anyways, the meditation worked, but the entire experience was a mind bender. It lasted for a week. My then wife and I were fighting and I was sleeping on the couch (this wasn't long before we decided to get a divorce). First night I just snapped awake at 3am. Exactly. Nothing else happened. Second night the exact same thing happens again. 3am. Third night I was awoken by my car horn blaring outside. When I went outside again promptly at 3am the front yard became awash in a bright light. As if a spotlight was shining on me from above. I was starting to get freaked out. Fourth night comes and I was awoken again promptly at 3am but this time there was a "typical gray alien" in my mind's eye that ORDERED ME to "WAKE UP". Again at 3am. Fifth night, car horn again.

All this time I am beginning to feel like I'm losing my mind and I was frantically reading about what I could do to stop this from happening. How did I get it to stop? I waited up until 3am on the sixth night and spoke outloud to whoever this was that they needed to leave me alone because they were scaring me. And they did.

But the really weird part was that when I told my wife about the night the alien told me to wake up, she claims she had her own weirdness happening in the next room at the same time. Someone ORDERED HER to "GO TO SLEEP" and she did. Fell asleep at her desk. Weird stuff.

Oh yeah, one more thing. When the being appeared in my mind's eye, what had actually happened is that my perception shifted like in an out of body experience and I was watching myself sleep on the couch from inside the kitchen and I saw the grey alien guy leaning down over my body until his head was just above my ear. Then my perception shifted again to back into my body and I saw the being in my mind's eye telling me to "wake up."

The entire experience was very maddening. I truly felt like I was going insane.

True story.

I also saw, with two witnesses, sasquatch in Metalton, AR in 1996.

And I figure that sasquatch isn't a primate at all. What it appears to be is some sort of energy (hard to find a word for what this is) that can appear to be whatever form it wants to be. And I'm assuming that it probably doesn't have any control of what it appears to be and actually exists more similarly to the "bogart" from Harry Potter fame. Its appearance is dictated by what's on the mind of the people who see it, at that time.

Reason I say that is because this stupid thing came up the hill, stopped on the trail about 150' feet in front of us and then took off IN A BLINK OF THE EYE and was gone up the mountain. I mean there is NOTHING ON EARTH that runs that fast. It was WAY FASTER than anything I've ever seen before. A deer, a horse, a cat, whatever you can think of would seem to stand still as fast as this thing moved.

We all quicky ran up to where it had been and despite it drizzling outside and it being wet there were NO TRACKS. Not a trace.

I watch Arkansas sports, I see things the mortal mind can't explain all the time.

Humans are pattern recognizers. We fit things comfortably into their own little niche so we can ignore them for the most part. Think about it, you are walking down a sidewalk in Spring... do you actually notice everything going on around you or let your mind sort it into ignore this and pay attention to that?

Which means when we see something that doesn't fit into a comfortable niche it stands out like a sore thumb. That's an evolutionary adaption... things that aren't normal are often things that want to eat you after all.

So, if you see a bear standing on its hind legs way off in the distance your brain freaks out. You can't explain what the hell you just saw so you fill in the blanks with Bigfoot or Leslie Jones. Whichever seems like a more terrifying answer.

Back in high school a couple of friends and I were on our way to pick up my dads boat to go fishing the next morning. This was around 12am and we were out on my dads land where there was nothing but open field for couple hundred yards on each side. We turn down the dirt road to get to the shop and there was a damn girl standing at the corner of one of the fields dressed in a white dress holding a book. We all saw it and got silent. Slammed the brakes on and hit the spot with headlights, nothing. Got out with spot a spot light, nothing. There was absolutely no way someone could have not been found in that short amount of time.

I can explain what I saw but cannot explain how, I guess. shite still creeps me out thinking of it. Most people think that story is bullshite but dammit, I know what I saw!

The continuing decline in driving ability around Atlanta.

Can't wait to go out in an unexplainable fiery interstate crash soon.

Y'all almost finished the drill on me during my ride down for the Sugar Bowl.

I was prepared to go out, canned Alabama Slammer in hand, while in the backseat.

bullshite.

Not in our case. There was no doubt about what we saw. The "creature" was between 7.5 and 9 feet tall and looked like a giant Gremlin. Brown fur but a white chest. When it stopped and turned to face us we all became instantly petrified with fear. When it ran away it RAN on two legs. And went up the hill probably 100' up in elevation in the blink of an eye.

What we saw wasn't real. But it was seen by three of us who all described the exact same thing.

Some people just can't accept that there are things out there that we don't understand. And that's fine. But to say that people who sometimes see things we can't explain are actually seeing something as mundane as a bear (I've been working outdoors in the woods for over 20 years now and have seen numerous bear), is insulting.

A few years ago, when I was back in America, I had just come home from a long shift of war games with the Army. I was working as the Opposing Force and didn't get to have some quality rest for quite a long time.

I didn't even want to take off my clothes before I went to bed, so I plopped down in my fatigues and immediately started to rest. My legs were kind of half hanging off of the mattress and it was maybe 15 minutes before I felt a huge yank on the leg of my pants.

My first thought was to dismiss it, maybe my leg had fallen off? Maybe it was my cat trying to get on the bed? But I knew in the back of my mind that something had grabbed me, so ferociously that my pants had come off of my hips a little. I sat there, heart racing for about 15 minutes before I got the courage to go over to the door and open it, turn on the light.

My cat jogged in, and so I went with the idea that it had to have been my booted leg and after having convinced myself of that I went to sleep with the lights on with the cat and wrote it off.

Until the dreams started.

Another tired evening and the same routine. It began in a cafe with a woman inviting me to her home. However, there was a filter over her face, like it was blurred out and I couldn't find out who she was. The dream was weird because most human functions/perceptions were wildly active. I could smell the wet street and feel the cold air hitting exposed parts of my body.

When we got into her apartment, it felt completely unfamiliar. I had never been to a place like this nor had I seen something similar on some other platform. Lost in so many questions, I didn't even notice that she had grabbed an axe and before I knew it, I was being violently murdered in the apartment.

Knocked to the ground, the axe cut through my fingers and as I was waking up I felt the weight of it hitting my chest and stomach, heard the sound if it going through my flesh and colliding with the ground beneath me. When I was completely awake, my fingers burned (I had been cut pretty severely in a surgery with no anesthetic before, so my mind, admittedly, did know what it was like).

Then I started to see things.

The first time I was in the woods pulling security, and I was sure someone else was out there. I had heard that the mind could play tricks on you. Especially when it was quiet and dark. My mind was always active, so when I thought I had seen a girl in a white dress walking on the tree line, about a hundred feet away I was certain that this was happening.

Until she was in my car with me driving home.

I started the truck, began to pull out of the range (it was a 203 range where they needed security until someone could collect the spent rounds and duds) and there she was, right next to me. Rotting, as if a corpse had dragged itself out of the ground. Brown hair completely matted, wearing that dress. She screamed at me and it was so powerful an episode that my ear hurt and it was then I thought:

Am I schizophrenic? I had never heard of audiovisual hallucinations causing pain.

She had disappeared right after the scream, but I was seeing her all over the place after that. In the back of my car, the corner of my hotel room, stuck to my ceiling. Reflections, long distance, short distance.

It didn't stop until I was here in Mexico City and I only really thought of it because I was sure I heard her footsteps running across the wooden floor the other night. I was sure it was just part of my mind, just connected to my subconscious because sometimes she did things that I felt like I was in control of or that I could predict.

I guess I'm too afraid to tell a medical expert about this because of the possibility of being diagnosed with a severe mental disorder. So, it will likely remain unexplained.

I have always thought humans that believe we are the only beings that exist in the Universe or in a realm that exists just outside of our own are arrogant as hell.
