Louisiana purchase. I know this brought Louisiana and LSU fans came later, but I'd say that's a pretty big win in the south for our country as well.

Excellent question. I would have to think about that one. Probably one of the smaller northeastern states. I say that though with not much experience in that area. I've heard nothing but bad about NJ though. Every state has trash areas and high crime areas though.
