Back in college it was a route 44 root beer, large order of cheese sticks, and a chili cheese burger from Sonic.
Now, it's more Pedialyte than any human should consume and Tums.

If I know I’m getting tanked that night, I hydrate and start taking 4 Advil that afternoon, 4 at dinner/before going out, 4 when going to bed if I can remember. If I can do that, it’s not too bad. I can go be somewhat productive the next day. If I don’t do that, I’m a useless frick for 2 solid days.

Sleep. That's the best cure for a hangover. Also, 2-3 glasses of water before bed will help.

Good gosh man. my stomach would hurt and add to the hangover pain!
I've got to say that sticking to only one brand of beverage (only beer, only one brand) helps me. It's when I get to mixing beers, wine, or shots that I know I'm going to have a bad tomorrow.
Remedies I can think of- water or Gatorade before bed, but you'll have to pee in the middle of the night. Also eat something before bed. I've noticed a big difference between going to bed drunk without eating and the next morning is bad compared to eating.

Not sure if it still happens today but when i was in school their reps used to walk around on Saturdays and hand out samples
