I stand corrected. Those employers are getting the money from somewhere however, and it ain't the fairy godmother.

How about you get off your lazy arse and mow a few lawns and deliver some pizzas instead of looking to the government to solve your problems? Mother fricker, you mean to tell me you couldn't find a fricking Dominos or Papa John's or some grass to cut in the 73 weeks you've been living off of the hard work of the tax payers?

You think you're the first person who ever got laid off? I've been laid off by 3 different companies in my lifetime, you know how much I collected in unemployment? ZERO, ZILCH, NADA GODDAMN CENT. I found some work every time I looked for some, even if the only work available was cleaning shitty bathrooms at a gas station.

frick yourself with a cactus.

I aint looking for sympathy, I'm trying to bring awarness to how fricked up our politicans are compared to the rest of America. They get lifetime pensions, per diem to travel to work (2,200$), and insane amount in salary compared to the people they are representing. Yet the american people are out of touch with reality. Also our GDP is fricked, our national debt is fricked, they bail out these corporations, but not its people.

Maybe you should run for office.

You won't get sympathy from me, I do however agree with a lot of these points. Knowing how retarded Washington D.C. is, why would you EVER place your faith in them when it comes to helping you out?

We are spending 10 million dollars an hour in Afghanistan, just think what we could do over here with that kind of money.

Exactly what we do with it over there: dump it into a big hole. You really think "if we just gave the politicians more money, they could finally solve some problems"?

McDonalds, walmart, etc., are hiring. That is unless you are too good for something like that until better comes along...

Over qualified! Why would they hire me when I will quit as soon as a better job comes along? Like I said, I've tried most places and still cant get shite, so i'm trying to get my own work, building decks, fences, etc. I dont put in 10 bids this past month, but nothing, and I know my prices are cheaper than most around here too. Luckily I got a house to paint next week.

I think I see the problem...

What exactly is your expertise? Painting and Carpentry? Nevermind got it Welding... Have you tried other bases? Like Fort Benning, USMC Albany, or Moody AFB? Or Kia car company in West Point?

Even if the numbers are slightly off, the point is well made. Govt is absolutely fricked up.

West Point may have jobs. There are companies there that support Fort Benning and the Kia plant.

Try West Point Foundary and Machine Co.

Or Greene Machine & Manufacturing there in Macon

Or Prince Precision Products in Macon

I'm sure these gentlemen need welders and machine operators.

But my advice would be to make yourself marketable. You are a product my friend and you have to pass the eye test as well as the knowledge and training skillsets test.

Eye test meaning how you present yourself when and if you do get to talk to an actual person. These days there is so much competition that employers can afford to be choosie. The way you look, talk, and carry yourself may be the difference.

And unemployment isn't enough to live on, and I dont want to live off it, but the politicans are completely out of touch w/ the working class. Its up to the House to pass it, but the House leader, is already saying no and prob wont change his mind. But watch them give tax cuts to the big corporations.

I remember when I used to think like those of you who are attacking the guy that's looking for work. Then I joined corporate America, got a good job, and realized from inside the belly of the beast that the deck is stacked against certain people. We all don't play by the same rules, that notion is a total myth.

That being said, if you're looking for welding jobs, you'll probably have to join a union to find consistent work in that area. I know that sucks, but it's unfortunately true.
