So my home got hit by lightning on Wednesday morning. My garage door opener was one of the few things that got hit. The current one I have now is a 1/2hp Chamberlin Liftmaster. It's pretty noisy so I am looking for one that is quiet.
What are your recommendations on a replacement?

I have a Chamberlin chain drive in one of my houses and a Genie screw drive in the other. While the screw drive is a little quieter and faster, I think I like the Chamberlin more; it seems more reliable.
Is there a better Chamberlin opener available (since I don't which model you have)?

I just replaced a chamberlain whisper drive that was 16 years old with another one from Chamberlain. Very quiet. Here is the one I got. Haven't done the wifi yet, but it's very quiet with battery backup.

Liftmaster garage door openers are generally pretty solid. Their gate operators and access control accessories are absolute shite, though, so I generally refuse to use anything associated with them.

I have to vote for Chamberlain Liftmaster. Quiet, solid and reliable. Can't imagine a better door opener.
