I remember talking about this in 2004 in class during the Bush Kerry election, can't remember the reason it was brought up then but I didn't believe the Hatch Act had any sort of relation with a criminal investigation that is being conducted by the FBI.

It is not unless it's associated with political reasons.

They might actually have a case because it definitely feels like the FBI is telling us not to vote for a candidate.

And I'm with the FBI on this one.

Here's the thing though, what choice did Comey have?

If he buries it, and it turns out that she's broken the law after the election, the FBI looks complicit.

Comey did not authorize the latest dump, in fact, it's very possible that other agents are trying to frick him.

He was the one who got Clinton to walk when Bill bribed by Marc.

They are quite obviously trying to sway the election by giving those documents air to breathe now with no reason or request.

But we're being shown that the FBI was complicit in the past, and people are doing it without authorization.

shite's about to get really ugly.

Talk is fricking cheap. I've listened to assholes talk for the last 24 years.

I want to see action. I want to see the mutiny take place. I want the beans splled on every single one of these people involved and I want to see that bitch in prison.

And as sugar on top, I wouldn't mind seeing her donor, the orange douchebag in a cell right next to her for his fraudulent "university" and his repeated eminent domain abuses.

DOJ is reportedly telling FBI to shut it down.

If true, that's fricking huge. We're in real trouble as a nation if the DOJ and Hillary get away with this.

Of course she's going to get away with it. There are dirty hands all the way to the top. Loretta lynch is merely following orders

What you really need to ask yourself is why the Republican Party hasn't taken steps to appoint an independent prosecutor?

If you answered "they're colluding because of single
Party rule", you're correct.

I just heard that the FBI is setting Clinton's email and the Clinton Foundation pay for play on high priority.
If this is true this will drown HRC chances Tuesday.

Unfortunately the FBI has enough to bury her, they've already shown us it's going to happen. It's only a matter of time before she's indicted in my eyes. They had to have found evidence of her bullshitting about her emails (everyone knew it anyway) on Huma's computer.

That's what I'm thinking. Do you think that they could have found anything that could implicate Obama? Because the DOJ would do everything in their power to keep that from coming out.

They've already quietly said that they have found emails from him from an unofficial source talking about official matters.

That's a no-no, I'm not sure if it's significant enough but it's very possible that they literally have all the chips at this point.

FBI about to have a tragic suicide soon.

Yep, it'd be the death of the FBI to be quite honest, and possibly replaced almost completely by the NSA if the NSA is complicit.

But I think the FBI has some way more dangerous shite than a presidential pardon and they're just flexing right now. They might right out clock her before the weekend is over.

They have to. Loretta Lynch will NEVER authorize a grand jury against Hillary unless what they find is so despicable that she has no choice.

The Clintons have already cut a deal with Lynch. The only shot the FBI has is to drop a bomb of Hiroshima like proportions, and they gotta do it very soon.

Right now every reputable poll has Trump leading, if she wins I think they'll do it. If she doesn't, they'll hold on to what they have for future use. For me I wish they'd just do it -- if they didn't have anything, they wouldn't say anything.

It's gotta be her links in the Clinton Foundation.

Read yesterday the FBI is also now doing an internal investigation to see who Tweeted the Bill Clinton docs earlier this week.

This is all just very bizarre, and I have a theory as to what is going on. I think Comey initially didn't want to influence the election, which is why he decided not to pursue charges against Clinton. He then carefully worded his press conference outlining what Trump needed to use in his campaign. Trump amazingly didn't take the bait in the days following the press conference. Meanwhile, FBI agents were frustrated at the lack of charges as they saw enough evidence to warrant them, and Trump's reluctance to pound the issue further frustrated them. So they started the leaks.

Then the additional emails were discovered, and Comey say both an opportunity to regain some confidence within the FBI, and to question Clinton's legitimacy as a Presidential candidate. So he crafted a vague letter that was left very open to interpretation. Trump finally took the bait, and has been pounding Hillary on it.

The FBI knows they don't have enough time to bring charges before the election takes place, so they're attempting to prevent Hillary from winning it. I don't think they want to bring charges against a sitting President.

I don't really do conspiracy theories, but that's the best sense I can make of this whole thing. It's all just utterly bizarre.

Honestly, at this point, I think Comey is in on it and this was an outright conspiracy. No one gave them authorization to release those documents, and that they chose ''Ethics'' and ''Domestic Investigation Procedures'' as their other updates are genuinely interesting forms of passive aggressive protest.

That aside, I think it's really down to: Most of the FBI wants charges filed, Comey does not want to be involved but cannot abstain because of new revelations.

Them reopening the case and sending a letter to Congress is almost as concrete of a ''We're going to indict soon'' as I can imagine.

I don't put much stock in him sending the letter to Congress. He had a legal obligation to do so, and it was to cover his arse. The problem was in the vagueness of it, which I suspect was intentional as it has allowed people to speculate. And without further clarification, and with the leaks coming out, specualtion has been rampant.
